1. Choose what to work out: the Fee on a payment, or What to charge to receive an amount.
2. Pick the Card type. UK rates are preloaded; choose the custom rate for other countries or negotiated pricing.
3. Enter the Payment amount, or the Amount you want to receive.
4. Check the Percentage fee and Fixed fee per payment match your Stripe account, then read the fee and what you receive or should charge.

Stripe’s standard card pricing is a percentage of the payment plus a fixed fee. At the time of checking (23 October 2026), Stripe’s UK pricing page listed:

Prices differ by country and change over time, and businesses on custom pricing pay different rates. Choose Custom and enter your own figures if they don’t match. The tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to Angelwood or saved on a server.

• Fee = amount × percentage + fixed fee.
• You receive = amount − fee.
• To receive X, charge = (X + fixed fee) ÷ (1 − percentage).

A £500 invoice paid with a standard UK card costs 1.5% × £500 + £0.20 = £7.70, so you receive £492.30. To receive exactly £100 you’d charge £101.73.
