Online payments are on every plan with a connected Stripe account.

How online payments work

Angelwood uses Stripe to accept credit card payments on invoices. You connect a Stripe Express account from Settings; Stripe handles your business details, payments and payouts. Once it’s active, invoices can include a secure payment link and clients with billing access can pay from the Invoices page of their portal.

Payments show on the invoice’s payment history with statuses such as paid, part paid and refunded. Stripe’s processing fees apply; the fee policy for your plan is shown under Settings › Payments.

How to use online payments in Angelwood

Connect Stripe and get paid

  1. Open Payments settingsIn the agency app, open Settings › Payments and select Connect Stripe.
  2. Finish Stripe setupComplete Stripe’s onboarding. When it’s done, the page shows that payments and payouts are active.
  3. Give clients billing accessIn each client’s portal, open Clients › Permissions and allow billing for the contacts who pay invoices.
  4. Send a payable invoiceWhen you send an invoice, tick Include secure payment portal link. Clients select Pay Now in their portal or use the link.

Which payment provider does Angelwood use?

Stripe. You connect your own Stripe Express account and payouts go to it.

Where do clients pay?

On the Invoices page of their client portal, or from the secure payment link on the invoice email.

Can I record payments made by bank transfer?

Yes. Use Add Payment on the invoice to record a payment received outside Stripe.
